Annahstasia's proximity to love — for and from others, in society, and deep within herself — guides her soulful, poetic folk songcraft. This 7" collects "Saturday" and "Sunday," a prelude to her album Tether. Recorded at Malibu's storied Shangri-La studios, sessions ran one-take after one-take, "patiently searching for my best performance." Together the pair traces love's full arc as "a romantic war.” "Saturday" is the conviction of falling in — "I wanna be the reason that you get outta bed" — written in a classic folk lineage. "Sunday" is the morning after, when doubt seeps in and partnership is revealed as a one-sided projection, ending in a windswept last gasp of strings, horns, and exhales.
