Madison McFerrin

For her third ever live performance with a full band, the incredibly soulful Madison McFerrin reached beyond her unique a cappella sound, dubbed “soul-a-pella” by Questlove, for an enraptured crowd at Glasshaus. The set spanned five of her most popular songs from her debut album, I Hope You Can Forgive Me, and three unreleased works, for which an immense applause bodes well. She was accompanied by three harmony singers – Zaniah, Nicholas Ryan Gant, Jazmin McCray – pianist Rafferty Swink, bassist Evan Lawrence, and drummer Jaylen Petinaud. It was an evening of high energy, healing, group claps, and a reminder that soul is the most powerful force in the world.
